Elbert County Plans Phased Reopening of County Offices
Social distancing still in place, most services available online and by phone

Kiowa, CO, May 4, 2020: Elbert County Government plans to open County offices to walk up traffic by appointment in certain County offices beginning today, May 4, 2020. The County closed its offices to walk up traffic in mid-March, and County employees have worked diligently to make County services available, using new and existing email, online, drive through, and drop off tools in order to protect the health and safety of residents and staff.

Beginning today, some County offices will be open for appointments according to the following schedule. If the pandemic situation in Elbert County remains stable, County staff expect to open buildings to walk up traffic for the public later this month. Social distancing practices will be in place, and we appreciate if visitors wear face coverings and stay home if they are sick in order to protect County staff.

Residents may consult the County’s website, www.elbertcounty-co.gov , for more information, or email pio@elbertcounty-co.gov with questions. For appointments, contact the relevant department or staff member directly.
