Biography
Dave Fisher was appointed as Undersheriff in 2019. He directs and supervises the office's operations, including
- Administration
- Detentions
- Investigations
- Patrol
- Professional Standards
- Support Services
He is also the Sheriff's Office liaison for the Office of Emergency Management and other external stakeholders, and oversees the Sheriff's Reserve, Posse, Explorer, and Citizen Advisory Council programs.
Experience
The Undersheriff has 36 years of diverse law enforcement experience in Colorado. After retiring from his previous career in October 2013, he worked as a private investigator on a wide variety of cases including an investigation of the response of the Black Forest Fire, the most destructive fire in Colorado history.
He is a licensed Private Investigator II in Colorado and has served on the board of the Arapahoe Rescue Patrol, a youth-based search and rescue group, for over 20 years.

Undersheriff Fisher graduated from:

- Northwestern University's School of Police Staff and Command
- Senior Management Institute for Policing at Harvard Kennedy School of Government
He's also active in firearms training for civilians and law enforcement and teaches a state accredited realtor safety class.
