Serving Those Who Served Us
The Elbert County Veterans Services Officer provides assistance to any veteran, or their family in making sure that they get all veterans rights or benefits to which they are entitled. We act as the advocate for the veteran by assisting in filing Veteran's Administration (VA) claims, coordinating with state and federal agencies, assisting with avenues for appeal when necessary, as well as a wide variety of other services.
It is in the best interests of Elbert County to make sure our local veterans and their families receive all the rights and benefits stemming from their service in our armed forces. We help Elbert County veterans submit successful claims packages to the VA, ensuring that veterans rights are protected, and helping to track the status of VA claims through to completion.
The point is to make sure veterans and their families get the benefits to which they're entitled. The VA bureaucratic process can be a sometimes frustrating and withering experience, and that's where your Elbert County Veterans Service Officer can help. This service is provided by Elbert County at no cost to the veteran or their family.
