Elbert County's Immunization Program participates in the federal Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program. Under this program, we are able to provide immunizations to children who qualify from birth through 18 years of age.

Pertussis Pertussis, also known as whooping cough, is a highly contagious respiratory disease. It is caused by the bacterium Bordetella pertussis. Pertussis is known for uncontrollable, violent coughing which often makes it hard to breathe. The best way to protect against pertussis is immunization.
